Welcome to WorldWaterSkiers.com (“WWS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using our website (worldwaterskiers.com) and mobile applications, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. About WorldWaterSkiers
WorldWaterSkiers.com is operated by the WorldWaterSkiers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organisation registered in the United States. We provide a platform for the global water skiing community, including athlete profiles, competition results, tournament management, news, and related services.
2. Account Registration & Membership
2.1 Eligibility You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
2.2 Account Types We offer different membership tiers including Social Member and Athlete accounts. Each tier provides access to different features as described on our Subscribe page.
2.3 Account Responsibilities You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep your profile information up to date. You must notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
2.4 WWS ID Upon registration, you will be assigned a unique WWS ID. This identifier is used across our platform and may be linked to your competition results and historical records. If you already have a WWS ID from prior competition participation, your account will be linked to your existing record.
2.5 Account Termination We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason we deem necessary. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at info@worldwaterskiers.com.
3. Subscriptions & Payments
3.1 Free & Paid Plans Some features of WWS are available free of charge. Paid subscription plans are billed as described at the time of purchase. Pricing and features are subject to change.
3.2 Payment Processing Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
3.3 Refunds Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at info@worldwaterskiers.com and we will review your case.
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information to your profile or any other part of the site.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts or any part of our systems.
- Use automated tools, bots, or scraping software to access or collect data from the site without our written permission.
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
- Upload content that is offensive, defamatory, or infringes on the rights of others.
5. Content & Intellectual Property
5.1 Our Content All content on WorldWaterSkiers.com — including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, competition data, and software — is the property of WWS or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
The information on this site may be used for educational and other non-commercial purposes, provided any reproduction of data is accompanied by an acknowledgement of WorldWaterSkiers as the source (WorldWaterSkiers, www.worldwaterskiers.com).
Under no circumstance may an outside party copy, extract pictures, videos, logos or visual images from WorldWaterSkiers.com without prior written consent. Media requests may be sent to info@worldwaterskiers.com.
5.2 Your Content By uploading content to WWS (including photos, videos, biography text, and profile information), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with our services. You retain ownership of your content and may remove it at any time through your account settings.
5.3 Competition Data Competition results, rankings, and historical records are maintained by WWS as part of our mission to support the water skiing community. This data may be displayed publicly on our website and through our applications.
6. Tournament Registration & Events
6.1 Event Registration When you register for a tournament or event through WWS, you agree to abide by the rules and regulations of that event as set by its organisers. WWS acts as a registration platform and is not the organiser of third-party events.
6.2 Fees & Cancellations Tournament entry fees and cancellation policies are set by the event organisers. Please refer to the specific event details for their policies. WWS is not responsible for refunds of event entry fees unless otherwise stated.
7. Third-Party Services & Links
Our platform may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, including payment processors, scoring systems, and external websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party services. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their respective terms and conditions.
8. Privacy & Data Protection
Your use of WWS is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.
