About: Slåstad Vannskiklubbs
The idea of finding a separate lake where the water skiing club could operate for itself has always been high on the agenda of the two primuses, the brothers Åge and Ole Vangen. In the years after 1976, they visited an impressive number of small lakes in the district, but not until 1983 could they finally state that they had found the pearl. Well, not that at that time it could be considered a watershed paradise - the area would have been better suited for a bunch of eager forest workers. However, the area by Solbakken eventually became the huge project we now know as Sør-Odal Sports and Activity Park.
