Our goal: to promote water skiing in all its facets. The association (WSV Maurik) consists of an enthusiastic group of recreational and competition skiers. We offer young and old the opportunity to practice all parts of the disciplines: classic water skiing (slalom, trick and jump), barefoot water skiing, knee and wakeboarding. To this end, the association has excellent facilities including its own clubhouse, ranking slalom course and a ranking classic and barefoot jumping ramp. Ranking means that the slalom course and the ramps are homologated, making (inter) national competitions at Maurik possible. WSV Maurik has grown into an association where all disciplines of water skiing are practiced with great pleasure, both at recreational and competition level. Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers and sponsors, we can enjoy a beautiful clubhouse and perfect water accommodation. Partly because of this, in 2009 we were able to organize the European Championship classic water skiing for seniors. After this grand event, we were showered with compliments from officials and skiers, laying the foundation for a bigger event: the Europe & Africa Youth Championships that we organized in August 2012. This championship, with no fewer than 132 participants, was very successful. As an association we look back on that with due pride. The association has a number of exemptions available to members to enable fast sailing in the recreation area 'Eiland van Maurik'. We also offer non-members the opportunity to get acquainted with this form of water sports. A number of members are authorized by the Dutch Waterski Association to professionally teach and conduct tests.
