About : Spray Lake Watersports
Our team is what makes Spray Lake Watersports unique. We are a family run business with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Started by Jono Boysen in 2011 The Ranch Wake Park was built, Jono then formed Spray Lake two years later with a group of water sport enthusiasts and following eight years of Spray Lake morphing into the place it is today Jono, his wife Martina and their son Rafo took full ownership of the company in 2021. Jono grew up spending the entire summer months lakeside during school break ( this helps when your mom is a teacher ). Harnessing his watersports skills in multiple disciplines starting at the early age of 5, he went on to compete and grow the industry starting in his early teens. After spending his teenage summers in various camp settings around Ontario. Jono went on too change the face of urban wakeskating competing on an International and National level, create multiple wakeboard and wakeskate films, volunteer with Waterski and Wakeboard Canada, assist in the development of international judging criteria in the cable park world championships, start a local grassroots competition series, introduce a national cable wakepark championship, drive two PAN-AM game wakeboard tournaments. In the midst of all that, his true passion was to create a place where new participants could learn the sports as young as he dis and athletes could grow there skills with the best possible environment. Spray Lake was in fact, simply just an abandoned gravel pit hidden in the wooded marsh. From humble begins of a small wooden start dock and a patch of grass to welcoming guests from around Ontario and the world - the business has grown into the place it is today. With the help of some of Canada’s best watersports athletes in the industry Spray Lake now sits as one of the best watersports sites in North America.
