My Story

I’m Jake Abelson—a professional waterskier, Level 10 gymnast, and athlete with a passion for pushing limits. I currently hold the Open World Record in tricks and have set every boys’ tricks record from Boys 1 through Boys 5. I’ve also earned multiple junior national titles in tricks, jump, and overall. And a few pro events in trick.

While it all started with trick skiing, my love for the sport quickly grew into becoming an overall skier. I’ve worked hard to develop my slalom and jump to match my tricks, and over time, jump has become one of my favorite events.
Waterskiing has shaped who I am focused, resilient, and always striving to improve. Off the water, I stay active with gymnastics, snow skiing, mountain biking, and foiling. Im always looking for new ways to challenge myself and grow as an athlete.
